Eternal Content Ltd.
This Privacy Policy explains how Eternal Content Ltd. (“Eternal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use eternal.tv, Eternal applications, streaming services, 24/7 channels, newsletters, support, and related features (collectively, the “Services”).
Eternal Content Ltd. is responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. Depending on where you live, local privacy laws may provide additional rights.
We may collect information you provide when you create an account, start a trial, subscribe, make a purchase, join a mailing list, request support, enter a promotion, complete a survey, or otherwise communicate with us. This may include:
Payments are handled by payment processors and app platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, Apple, Google Play, Roku, and Amazon. These providers may collect your payment-card or account details directly under their own privacy policies. Eternal generally receives confirmation of the transaction, payment status, subscription information, and limited billing details rather than your complete payment-card number.
When you use the Services, Eternal and its providers may automatically collect:
We do not intentionally collect precise location unless an app feature requests it and you choose to permit it.
We may receive information from Uscreen, payment processors, app marketplaces, analytics and advertising providers, referral partners, promotions, or social networks when you interact with Eternal through those services. The information depends on your settings and the provider’s rules.
We use personal information for reasonable business purposes, including to:
Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we process personal information as necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, protect vital interests, or act with your consent. Legitimate interests may include operating and improving the Services, protecting accounts, measuring performance, preventing fraud, and marketing Eternal in a proportionate manner.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal, and some information may still be required to provide a subscription or comply with law.
Eternal and its providers use cookies, software development kits, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies may be used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Services, understand performance and audience behaviour, measure campaigns, and show or measure advertising.
Our providers include Google Analytics and Meta. Depending on your settings, consent, and location, these providers may receive online identifiers, IP address, device information, page or app events, advertising interactions, or hashed contact information used to create or reach an advertising audience. Their use of information is also governed by their own privacy policies.
You may be able to manage non-essential cookies through Eternal’s cookie controls, your browser, your device or app settings, or the provider’s advertising controls. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent parts of the Services from working. Where required, we will ask for consent before using non-essential analytics or advertising technologies.
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
We use companies that host, operate, support, secure, analyse, and market the Services. These include Uscreen for streaming, accounts, subscriptions, and support; Stripe and PayPal for payments; Ghost for newsletters; Google Analytics for measurement; Meta for advertising and campaign measurement; and technical hosting, security, communications, and professional-service providers. They may process information for Eternal under contracts or their own platform terms, depending on the service.
Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung, and other device or app platforms may receive information needed to distribute an app, authenticate access, process a purchase, provide platform features, or diagnose technical issues. Information you provide directly to those platforms is governed by their policies.
We may provide licensors and business partners with aggregated or de-identified reports about title performance, viewing time, audience location, or subscription activity. We do not provide directly identifying viewing histories to licensors unless we tell you and have a lawful basis.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, court orders, lawful government requests, tax or regulatory obligations; investigate fraud, security incidents, or rights complaints; enforce agreements; or protect the rights, safety, and property of Eternal, users, licensors, service providers, or others.
If Eternal is involved in a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, insolvency, or transfer of some or all of its business or assets, information may be reviewed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality protections and applicable law.
Eternal does not sell or rent personal information for money. Our use of analytics, advertising pixels, or advertising audiences may nevertheless be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under certain U.S. state privacy laws. Where those laws apply, you may have the right to opt out through available cookie or privacy controls or by contacting family@eternal.tv.
Eternal is based in Alberta, Canada, and uses providers located in Canada, the United States, and other countries. Your personal information may therefore be processed or stored outside your province, state, or country, where privacy laws may differ and where courts, law-enforcement agencies, or regulators may lawfully access it.
When required, we use contractual, organizational, or other measures designed to protect information transferred across borders. You may contact our Privacy Officer for information about our policies and practices concerning service providers outside Canada.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including while your account is active and afterward when needed for billing, tax, accounting, licensing, marketing and consent records, fraud prevention, security, disputes, enforcement, or legal obligations.
Retention periods vary by the type of information and the systems involved. When information is no longer reasonably required, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely isolate it until deletion is practicable. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups. Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained for analysis and reporting.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. We also rely on established providers to protect the systems they operate. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Use a unique password, keep your devices secure, sign out of shared devices, and notify us at family@eternal.tv if you believe your account or personal information has been compromised.
Depending on your location and subject to lawful exceptions, you may have the right to request access to personal information about you; ask us to correct, delete, or provide a copy of it; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; opt out of targeted advertising or certain disclosures; or appeal a decision about a privacy request.
You can update some account information through your account settings. To make another request, email family@eternal.tv and write “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Tell us what you are requesting and provide enough information for us to locate and verify the account. We may need to confirm your identity and authority before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator, including the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, a U.S. state regulator, or the data-protection authority where you live.
When you create an account, start a trial, or purchase a subscription, we may add your email address to Eternal’s mailing list and send newsletters, new-release announcements, viewing recommendations, surveys, and occasional offers where permitted by law, including based on consent or an existing business relationship. If you join through a newsletter or promotional form, we use your email address for the purpose described on that form.
You may unsubscribe at any time through the link in an email or by contacting family@eternal.tv. Receiving marketing emails is not required to maintain your account or subscription. We process unsubscribe requests as required by law and may keep records of marketing status and unsubscribe requests for compliance.
Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may continue sending receipts, password resets, security messages, support replies, cancellation confirmations, renewal information, and other communications necessary for your account or a transaction.
Eternal is a general-audience service. Depending on the platform, its applications are rated 13+ or Teen. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Children under 13 may watch only through an account created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
A paid subscription must be purchased and managed by someone who has reached the age of majority where they live. Younger viewers may use an adult-managed account with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information directly to Eternal, contact family@eternal.tv. We will investigate and take reasonable steps to delete or restrict the information as required by law.
The Services may link to or interact with websites, app stores, payment systems, social networks, devices, or other services that Eternal does not control. This Policy does not govern information those third parties collect for their own purposes. Review their privacy policies and settings before providing information.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy when it takes effect. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when reasonably required, such as by email or through the Services.
